We will have our Beacon Hill Council meeting on the second Tuesday, January 10 at 6:30 p.m. rather than the first Tuesday of the month because of the New Year Holiday.
Last year we did a lot to listen voices of our residents about the proposed expansion of the urban village and the need for low income housing. This January 10, when we meet, as requested, we will work on defining and recommending to the City the architectural character of Beacon Hill to guide new construction.
We also have several emerging issues --- the Metro bus layover at Lander Street, changes in the lease of the Jefferson lawn bowling club and upcoming school budget cuts given $74M shortfall. We hope to see you, your family and friends at the meeting. Your presence is key to building our "welcoming, diverse and healthy" Beacon Hill. May we do good things for the common good.
See you next Tuesday!
