See you Tuesday!
North Beacon Hill Council April General Meeting - Tuesday, April 5, 2016, 7PM at the Jefferson Park Community Center
Thanks to the Department of Neighborhoods, the North Beacon Hill Council received a Small and Simple grant for $12,623 to print and distribute a survey to all households on Beacon Hill. North Beacon Hill Council and partner organizations are developing an online survey to poll residents regarding: a) the proposal to double the Beacon Hill urban village size in the Seattle 2035 Comprehensive Plan Update, b) the continued commitment to the 2010 Neighborhood Plan Update goals and c) other local issues such as a traffic study for Beacon Hill. The DON Small and Simple grant will fund the translation, distribution and associated events to reach the 44% foreign born population who are non-English or limited English speaking, have it translated into 5 language, mail the hard copies to all households on Beacon Hill and hold events to ensure that we have a survey that reaches out to everybody in Beacon Hill.
Please join us on Tuesday for the kickoff of the project and an opportunity to join the subcommittee. We will hold a conversation with our District 2 Council Member, Bruce Harrell on issues affecting Beacon Hill and get an update from SDOT on a review of the Residential Parking Zone (RPZ) program and how it might change in the future.
